The start of winter

After a great summer, I decided to consciously enjoy winter.  It took me far too long to enjoy Seattle - so am going into first winter here with positive mental attitude!

October was mostly chilly, and we were excited to get Halloween trick or treaters.  Only a few, but still fun.

Then a few days later - our first snow!  So excited to wake up to 3" or so of beautiful white powder.

I felt like a kid on Christmas Day!

As you can see, the street has snow and I drive 25 miles to work over a windy mountain pass, so finally broke down and got the vehicle that about half of Montanans drive - Subaru Outback.  

Bought in on a Saturday and glad to have it as this is what I woke up to Monday morning when I opened the garage door.

So got the car - in part - to keep us active. Hiked up to frozen waterfall
